Matt King is a London based stylist and creative director from the Isle of Sheppey, Kent. He was drawn to the city for it's diverse fashion and nightlife scenes and since graduating from Central Saint Martins he has developed work across fashion, film, music and performance. Commissioned by publications including British Vogue, Dazed, Clash Magazine and Nowness. Matt has spent recent years working closely with musicians Anna Calvi, Ashnikko, Brooke Candy, Dylan Fraser, Lucinda Chua, Shygirl, Tom Odell and Zebra Katz, to name a few.
Matt's connection to underground culture has lead to a unique sense of style mixing an authentic blend of music, fashion and club culture references. His aesthetic is recognisable for its minimalistic and clean execution, with a punk attitude throughout.
He is co-founder of SORT: A multidisciplinary studio focused on independent film with an annual print publication at its core.
SORT is born out of London's queer club community and celebrates underground culture through collaborations with like-minded artists, brands, musicians and publications. www.sort-studio.co.uk
